Hi,
This website is not actually about the diamond business -- it's about the book
The Diamond Cutter: The Buddha on Managing Your Business and Your Life by Geshe Michael Roach. He's a Buddhist monk who worked in the diamond business for many years and used Buddhist principles to make the company very successful -- the book describes the business principles he used, and how other people can use them in any setting.
According to him, most people get a job in the diamond business because they already know people working at a diamond company. So if you have friends or relatives in the business, that's your best bet. He says it's very very hard for outsiders to get a job in the diamond business because employers are concerned about theft.
The way he did it was to enroll in a course with the
Gemological Institute of America, where he met somebody who was starting a company. He agreed to work for very low wages, just to get his foot in the door.
Good luck!
Andrea
